• Students will complete their classroom portion required by the state of Texas in a group setting.
• Students will schedule their one-on-one private lesson with me separately. In that lesson, you will learn to shoot (see RANGE PORTION BELOW) and I will administer your Texas LTC proficiency demonstration.
• You can do your private lesson before or after the class date. The group class is kept small for personalized instruction & is structured & designed by a female to help busy families start developing their personal safety plan.
• Your private range lesson (includes your LTC shooting test) & class has been created to help you start developing into a safe & well-rounded  armed citizen.  Class & lesson are both taught by a female DPS certified instructor and School Safety Instructor (arming Texas Teachers).

What is INCLUDED:

CLASS PORTION:

• Class portion of your Texas LTC covering laws on use of force, where you can carry, safe storage & non violent dispute resolution.
• 25 question written test (true/false & multiple choice) required by the state to file for your LTC.

• It will be just you & me, no need to have performance fear or anxiety around other classmates. Safety of a private suite, no “open line of shooters who are just winging it”.
• Firearm safety rules.
• Building CONFIDENCE through “working/manipulating” your firearm properly.
• How to CONFIDENTLY hit your target.
• Proper range etiquette (what to expect on the range) this possibly being the 1st time you’re a student on a live fire range, under the direction of a “Range Master”. A range master or instructor is the person on the range who is giving commands.
• 1st Shots to diagnose any issues…then…
• License To Carry live fire test.
• I’ll bring firearms and ammunition as well as eye protection and ear protection for you.

 EXPERIENCE LEVEL: NONE

• Brand New Shooter w/good attitude, or if you need a refresher.
• Must be 18 years old to file for your Texas LTC (formerly CHL).

EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR RANGE LESSON:

• None. All equipment will be provided.
• Feel free to bring your firearm, preferably cased, if you have one, to get more familiar with it. Need help? Email me!
• Seriously, just show up ready to learn in a positive environment.

• Long pants are a good idea. Shorts are allowed.
• Closed-toe shoes (NON-NEGOTIABLE) No flip flops or sandals please.
• High collared shirt – a regular t-shirt is perfectly good; tank top or v neck shirts are not. Brass going down your shirt is very hot!
• A ball cap or visor is suggested.
