Curious about the steps to complete and receive your Texas License to Carry?
To Get a TX LTC you need: background check, fingerprints, shooting proficiency test, and law exam – it’s not as complicated as it sounds!
First off, the order you complete your shooting portion, law exam portion, and background check doesn’t matter. You can take the shooting portion first or the law exam first, and you can also complete your background check first to get the ball rolling. When you have completed the shooting portion and law exam I will give you a LTC 100 form that you’ll upload to your Texas DPS LTC application online.
*You DO have to start your profile and enter information for your background check to get an email back to schedule your fingerprints and upload LTC 100 form.
When you click the link below and go to “New User” section, click “Apply”. The information you enter here is what they use to complete your background check.
You’ll then receive a confirmation email with a link to schedule fingerprints, as well as a link to upload your LTC 100 form that I give you when you complete your shooting portion and exam portion.
