Ladies Beginner Shotgun
Price: $150
Date: June 19th
Time: 9am -1pm
Duration: 4 hours
Location: 4886 Kennedale New Hope Rd
Description:
This is a four hour class, ideal for the lady with little to no experience using a shotgun. This is by far, the instructors FAVORITE discipline! Come find out why! Student enrollment is kept small in efforts not to overwhelm ladies learning a new discipline.
We cover all the advantages of a defensive shotgun in a SAFE and POSITIVE environment. In class we cover the safety rules, how to operate shotguns, as well as selection of proper ammunition for a defensive shotgun.
Also covered will be proper loading and unloading of the firearm, and fundamentals. We will start with single shot drills and progress to multi-shot drills as the student builds confidence.
The course requires: 1 box of 12 gauge birdshot and 1 box of 12 gauge buckshot. Please email instructor if you have difficulty finding ammunition.
Shotguns are provided. IF you have one of your own, please bring it! If it is not a 12 gauge, please bring ammunition in your appropriate caliber.
Please bring:
- Hearing and eye protection. Prescription glasses do serve as allowed eye protection.
- Ball cap, heavy leather belt, and pants that have belt loops.
- Hiking boots or tennis shoes.
- High necked shirts to protect from hot brass.
- Water and a light snack if needed.
Prerequisites: A positive attitude.
Minor girls, ages 12 and up, are welcome to register with a paid parent or guardian. If younger than 12 years old, I’d prefer to do a private lesson.
