Class Description:

End your Summer with a 2nd amendment bang! This very special Ladies Only Handgun event is brought to you in a collaboration between Mindy Kay Ray – Owner of Triple C Training, Constable Scott Bedford, & Rosalie Escobedo!

A note from Constable Bedford:

“I am a staunch supporter of the second amendment and believe we all have the basic right to protect ourselves from those who choose to do others harm. I have been a firearms instructor for the last six years and I am fortunate enough to be in a position where I can give back to my community. It is my understanding there are limited all female handgun classes which teach proper care and handling for new or inexperienced owners. It is my goal to use the position of Constable to extend the reach by partnering with Mindy Kay Ray to help reach those who need and want the training. Women are targeted daily for all sorts of assaults, including human trafficking. I believe it is my duty to help in any way possible to ensure this segment of the community is properly trained to deal with the challenges related to increased threats against the female population”. – Constable Scott Bedford

Event Details:

Your very first experience with a handgun should be a positive experience PERIOD. If it’s not, you’ll never want to shoot again. Being a female instructor, I’ve made it my mission to EMPOWER my students through positive reinforcement in the class and on the range! This class is taught by a female firearms instructor who trains the everyday lady how to safely learn their way around a handgun! This is a great class if your dad or brother taught you to shoot or if you need a refresher because it’s been a month of Sundays since you’ve shot.

Students will learn…

• Firearm safety rules.
• Building CONFIDENCE through “working/manipulating” your firearm properly.
• How to CONFIDENTLY hit your target.
• Proper range etiquette (what to expect on the range) this possibly being the 1st time you’re a student on a live fire range, under the direction of a “Range Master”. A range master or instructor is the person on the range who is giving commands.
• 1st Shots to diagnose any issues.
• NOT INCLUDED – SMALL RANGE FEE ($15) ON CLASS DAY.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: NONE

• Brand New Shooter w/good attitude, or if you need a refresher.
• Ages 15 and up
• Ladies only please

EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR RANGE LESSON:

• All equipment will be provided.
• Feel free to bring your firearm, if you have one, to get more familiar with it. If you do bring your own, please bring 60 rounds of appropriate caliber ammunition. If using ours, everything is provided.
• Seriously, just show up ready to learn in a positive environment!

HOW TO DRESS FOR RANGE DAY: INDOOR RANGE

• Long pants are a good idea. Shorts are allowed.
• Closed-toe shoes (NON-NEGOTIABLE). No flip flops or sandals please.
• High collared shirt – a regular t-shirt is perfectly good; tank top or v neck shirts are not. Brass going down your shirt is very hot!
• A ball cap or visor is suggested.
