This class is for the very beginner to those who need a refresher course because you took a similar class and then never shot again. In fact, it is likely that your rifle is very lonely and sad. I can help!
Have you thought about adding the “AR15” style platform to your knowledge base? It’s a great, easy to learn, modern day sporting rifle! Did you know that AR does NOT stand for automatic or assault?
You do not need your own rifle yet. I will bring several to try so you can make an EDUCATED purchase.
Upon class completion you will have the skills to confidently manipulate and successfully run the AR15 (also referred to as carbine). Other topics covered will be:
- History & familiarization of the AR15 platform.
- Proper load & make ready.
- Touching on how to clear malfunctions.
- Marksmanship with different sites.
- As time & class flow allows, moving with the rifle.
Please come prepared with 150 rounds of ammunition in .223/.556 FMJ (full metal jacket)
- NO tracer rounds,
- NO steel core,
- NO green tips. Email me if you have questions.
Bring eye protection, ear protection, snacks and water!
Bring your rifle if you have one! You do NOT have to own a rifle. There will be rifles for you to demo so you can decide what you like in this platform (triggers, stocks, sites, handguards, etc. ) If you do bring yours, it needs to have at least one type of site on it, iron, red dot, or scope (email me with questions).
Range appropriate attire please.
Range fees are NOT included in your registration fee. ($15)

I am a “one man show”, wife, & mother. If I get sick or there are unforeseen circumstances or emergencies that cause a class to be cancelled, please have grace.
All efforts will be made to reschedule the class with as much notice as possible.
If a reschedule is not possible for you, a refund will be issued via paper check within 14 business days.
