Small Range Fee due on class day: $15

You’ll need one box of ammunition. I’ll help you purchase it when you arrive on class day. It’ll cost $10-$16.

Ammo Requirement: 50 rounds – Can be purchased at the range on training day.

Equipment Needed: appropriate range attire for an indoor gun range. Bring a handgun if you have one. If not, I have one you can use.

Hello! I am Mindy Kay Ray and I’ve made it my mission to EMPOWER my students through positive reinforcement in the class and on the range! This class is taught by a female firearms instructor who trains the everyday person how to safely learn their way around a handgun! This is a great class if your dad or brother taught you to shoot or if you need a refresher because it’s been a month of Sundays since you’ve shot.

Try and arrive 15 minutes before class time to sign range waivers and pay a $15 range fee. I will meet you in the lobby of 407 Gun Club for waivers and range fee. 407 Gun Club Lobby is a barn looking building with a TV monitor on it at the far back of the parking lot and it faces FM 407. It is BEHIND 407 BBQ.

  

CLASS GOALS : Students will leave with a good understanding of:

• Firearm safety rules.
• Build CONFIDENCE through “working/manipulating” your firearm properly.
• How to CONFIDENTLY & ACCURATELY  hit your target.
• Proper range etiquette (what to expect on the range) this possibly being the 1st time you’re a student on a live fire range, under the direction of a “Range Master”. A range master or instructor is the person on the range who is giving commands.
• 1st Shots!

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

• Brand New Student w/good attitude, or if you need a refresher.
• Age limit – 10-12 (depending on maturity) and up

EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR RANGE:

• You will need ammunition.  You can get ammunition the morning of class at the range.
• Bring  hydration.
• Feel free to bring your firearm to get more comfortable with it (in its case or in a bag. If you need help safely transporting it – REACH OUT TO ME, I will help you). I will provide high quality eye & ear protection.

HOW TO DRESS FOR RANGE DAY: INDOOR RANGE w/cold A/C

• Long pants are a good idea. Shorts are allowed.
• Closed-toe shoes (NON-NEGOTIABLE) No flip flops or sandals please.
• High collared shirt – a regular t-shirt is perfectly good; tank top or v neck shirts are not. Brass going down your shirt is very hot!
• A ball cap or visor is highly suggested.

REGISTRATION/REFUND POLICIES & TERMS:

Once your class /lesson is purchased I will use your registration email as confirmation. If your cancel notice isn’t within the parameters below, a rebooking fee applies, or registration fees paid are forfeited. So PLEASE try and make every effort to be at your class/lesson.

CLASSES: 72 hours’ notice is needed for a class.

• If you are before the 72-hour mark, you may transfer to the next available class that has room.
• If you cancel before the 48-hour mark, you may rebook the next available class that has room for $50. This is a special priced class. Additional fees may be required.
• If you cancel within 24 hours of class start time, all registration fees are forfeited.
